NY State Psychiatric Institute: Depression Evaluation Service information provided by: LifeNet, a program of the Mental Health Association of New York City

This is a research study that offers free outpatient treatment for adults (18-65) suffering from depression or Bipolar disorder (Bipolar patients must be in a depressed state.) The treatment includes both FDA approved medication as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for six months, after which they are referred out for additional treatment if needed. Participants must agree to undergo a PET scan and an MRI, both of which they will receive compensation for. These scans will be done at 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032.
